When Gratitude Becomes Your Default Setting, Life Changes

…Day by day, I found more things to be happy and grateful for – just little things. I felt blessed I had such wonderful friends who would accompany me to chemo. I was happy my husband cooked dinner and did the laundry. I was happy when it rained. Anything and everything – it didn’t matter what. The fact I was writing it down was enough.

…I wasn’t always great at remembering to do the daily task but as I started to become more aware of how I was changing, I began to crave writing and sending myself little notes and inspirations. I didn’t want to miss a day and after a while, it became part of my daily ritual.
