This is your year

As the clock struck twelve and we welcomed in 2019, it was not lost on me how amazing these past few years have been for me. My life has been turned upside down and I am loving it.

If anyone had told me that only three years ago when I welcomed in 2016 my life would change in an instant, I would have told them they had gone slightly mad (or they didn’t like me particularly)

As I sit here typing on my laptop today, I have made another big leap and left my corporate job to pursue my dream of being a full time writer. Yikes! Talk about a leap of faith. I cannot believe I have done it.

Yes, five days before Christmas I said goodbye to my full time management job that I had held for nearly thirteen years. It was a pretty bold move, and to say that I am not a tiny bit scared would be an understatement. But here’s the thing, I am actually excited about (at present) being unemployed. It brings with it so much promise of new beginnings, of living life right now and following your dreams.

I couldn’t delay it any longer. If turning 50 has taught me anything, it is that you are never too old and it is never too late. Putting that into practice of course wasn’t easy. I had to make some tough decisions and who will ever know if they are the right ones, but hey, I am going to give it a red hot crack. How awesome!

I will be using this space to write my blogs and let you know how I am getting on, I hope you can join me.
