I had read recently of a story of a monk who has a special veranda to listen to the rain. This veranda is for the sole purpose of taking time out and listening and concentrating on the sound of raindrops on the tin roof.
“The sound of rain needs no translation”.
Being present and listening to your surroundings and soaking in the sheer pleasure of something so simple is quite splendid really. We don’t take enough time out of our busy lives to appreciate the very things that are right in front of our noses.
I want the time to enjoy a beautiful sunset, time to hear the birds sing, time to smell the sea air, time to just ‘be’, time to share my memories with my family, share their love for this amazing world we live in.
I do this every day now, its change my life, literally.
Big Love, Jane x
