Create a beautiful life to live in and be in
Taking life in the slow lane (and stopping to smell the roses)
Our natural state (hola!)
Personalise your thoughts through words
Do what you love and love what you do
Daring to be you (I know you can do it)
Life is a precious gift
Appreciating the little things
Remember when you were a child? When life was full of excitement and wonder.
Practically everything was magical.
What were your dreams when you were a child? Did you want to fly a plane, build houses, take photographs, play music, be a parent? Somehow these dreams of ours have diminished; we have all but given up on living the life of our dreams. Bah humbug.
Two years ago I wrote a list of my dreams (it was long) I wanted to be a published author, travel overseas, buy a new car, have my health back and be a writer full time. Yikes, at the time I thought that I had indeed gone crazy town. But here’s the thing (apart from a new car) I did it.
And this is how.
Firstly you have to decide what is important, and this means FOR you, the REAL YOU.
Sit down (grab a piece of paper or your computer) and make a list of what you really want in your life. These can be big things, or little things, it doesn’t matter.
This can be (in no particular order):
Relationships
Career
Money
Health
Family
Personal
Think about what you really want, be quite specific about the kind of career (for instance) you want, what would it be? What do you love doing? What is important to you in your dream job? How does it look? See these things in your mind’s eye, see yourself doing them.
Be as BOLD as you like, this is your list of dreams, just go for it! It is so fun doing this exercise (I am pretty sure that I put on my list that I wanted to cultivate orchids, didn’t do that one but hey I’ve still got time!)
Once you have written down your dreams they become more powerful, it’s there in black and white. You can add to them anytime, keep your list going.
I am also a fan of the mood/vision board (or dream board may be more appropriate here). It can be any size, I put mine above my calendar, so it’s about an A4 size but heh, go to town, make it poster size if you like. You may like to choose a cork board, a bright piece of cardboard or a fabric board, it doesn’t matter, whatever you fancy! Fill it with photos, pictures, quotes, anything that will inspire you every day to reach for the stars and start living the life of your dreams.
You may draw you inspiration from travel, beauty, nature, animals, architecture or food (I’m always dreaming of gingerbread).
Having visuals of the things that you desire makes it real, put it somewhere you will see it every day, put it on your fridge, your wall above your desk, inside your wardrobe door (maybe not in your sock draw).
This is also such a fun thing to do, it’s like being back at school and cutting up your mum’s magazines, all you need is your imagination and a glue stick.
You can add to this anytime you like, nothing is set in stone, it’s a work in progress, just like you.
Remember that these are YOUR inspirations to keep and work towards you manifesting all the good in your life.
