The Leap Year

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my whole world fell apart and I didn’t know how to fix it.

This book is a deeply personal account of my experiences navigating the world of cancer treatment and how I got through  fifteen months of relentless appointments, chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy .

It wasn’t easy, it was a pretty tough time of my life. But I got through it and used the experience to fulfill my dream of becoming a published author.

I’m not sad I got cancer, it changed my life. I know this seems a crazy thing to say, but I wouldn’t have done half the things I have done in these past few years if I hadn’t got cancer.

My life has changed a lot, and I couldn’t be happier.

The Leap Year concludes in Tuscany where I trekked with nineteen other breast cancer survivors. It was, and still is, one of the best things I have ever done.

I am living proof today that you are never to old and it’s never too late to live the life of your dreams (whatever life throws at you).
